CRNA-only practices are not immune to the pressures facing other anesthesia groups. We know personally of CRNA-only practices being replaced by anesthesia management companies despite an excellent track record of safety, service, and satisifaction. Your hospital is recieving the same promotional literature that other facilites are seeing. If you recieve a subsidy, you're a target. And if you don't recieve a subsidy, you're still a target as management companies, in an effort to increase revenue, are interested in practices of all sizes. Your problems are accetunated if you have problematic providers, ineffective human resource functions, one unhappy referral source, or dated policies and practices.
